Dear Parents and swimmers,
We are delighted to report that MatchPoint NYC’s swim team had a successful swim meet at the LAC Holiday cup in Lancaster PA. This particular meet was a qualifier meet and there was a total of 70 swim teams participated and all from the Eastern Zone area. Our team won 13th place overall, with the boys team-placing 8th and girls 23rd.
Medals in Deatail:
- Valerii Pidhoretskyy (12 yrs old) placed 3rd by high total score points over 9 events. Individual results: one 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, two 4th and five 5th places.
- David Grushovenko (10 yrs old) placed 7th by total score points over 9 events. Individual rounds: two 2nd, 4th, 6th,
9th, 10th, 12th, and 14th place. - Edward Baranov (12 yrs old) finished 6th, 7th, 10th, and 15th.
- Ilyan Lomeyko (11 yrs old) finished 8th and 9th.
- Elizabeth Kuznetsov (12 yrs old) finished 10th,14th, and 16th.
- Martyna Kaps (11 yrs old) won 6th place.
- Saadeddin Saadeddin (13 yrs old) won 7th place.
- Zakhar Trifonov (17 yrs old) won 9th, 12th and 14th place.
- Law Ethan (15y) finished 13th.
- Anna Karacheva (12yrs old) finished 15th.
- Jared Ma (15yrs old) finished 15th.
- Law Brianna (12 yrs old) finished 16th.
Boys relays (ages 11 – 12 years old ) won 2nd in the 200-yard medley event and 3rd in the 400-yard freestyle relay!
