MatchPoint NYC Swim Team places in Top 20 of 100 Teams at Lancaster Meet

Dear Parents and Swimmers,

This past weekend, the MatchPoint NYC Swim Team participated in Eastern Zone Holiday Cap in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The team swam strong, was able to break some MatchPoint NYC records, and placed in the top 20 of 100 teams that participated. Among 100 clubs, our Boys Team placed 13th and our Girls Team placed 20th, by combining points scored in all events! Our coaches are very happy with their progress and the results from the meet!

New MatchPoint NYC records:

• Martyna Kaps – Three New MatchPoint NYC team records AND fifth place in Individual High Score!
• Ilyan Lomeyko – One New MatchPoint NYC team record AND eighth place in Individual High Score!
• Brianna Law – Two New MatchPoint NYC team records!
• Rebecca Trosman – One New MatchPoint NYC team record!
• Valerii Pidhoretskyy – One New MatchPoint NYC team record!

Below is a breakdown of placement:

• Martyna Kaps – One 1st, four 3rd, and one 4th places!
• Ilyan Lomeyko – Two 2nd, 5th, 7th, and 9th places!
• Valerii Pidhoretskyy – Two 9th places!
• Isabel Vilensky – Two 4th places!
• Maxim Konoplin –4th and 10th places!
• Eric Slavin – 7th and 9th places!
• Ivan Yu – 10th place!

Our Boys Relay 400 Yards Medley group set a New MatchPoint NYC Team Record as well! Great work by Eric Slavin, Phillipp Rivkind, Valerii Pidhoretskyy and Kai Funaro!

As the Holidays approach, we would like to congratulate our Swim Team on another fantastic year of swimming! We hope that 2020 brings more great results and improvement for all of our swimmers. Great job this past weekend, and swim onward, MatchPoint NYC!
