Working out seems like a lot of work. It even has the word “work” in its name! But, it’s important that you have fun with your workouts!

Studies show if you enjoy what you do, you’re more likely to keep doing it.

So, if lifting weights isn’t working out for you (no pun intended), here are 10 super fun alternatives you should consider!

Pilates ” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left” google_fonts=”font_family:Istok%20Web%3Aregular%2Citalic%2C700%2C700italic|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_single_image border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” image=”9334″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text animate=”none” delay=”0″]

Do you want to workout like the models do? Take Pilates. It’s all about precision and engaging the muscles we often miss in other workouts. You’ll need to concentrate, have control, breathe and flow. You’ll walk out of there with the best posture you’ve ever had.

Hot Yoga/ Power Yoga ” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left” google_fonts=”font_family:Istok%20Web%3Aregular%2Citalic%2C700%2C700italic|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text animate=”none” delay=”0″]Strong believers in “sweating leads to weightloss” have to try Hot Yoga. You’ll sweat like you’ve never sweat before. You’ll sweat in places you’ve never sweat before. The actual purpose of hot yoga is not to just make you sweat everything off but to increase your flexibility by warming your muscles.

For those of you who do not enjoy working out in 80 degree temperatures, yoga can still be a great option. Power yoga in particular. It’s made up of the same yoga exercises but, done with added intensity and speed.

Both are super fun and relaxing ways to lose a lot of weight.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”32px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row parallax=”none” parallax_image=”” row_type=”boxed” columns_type=”wtrMargin” columns_autohight=”wtrNoAutoHeightColumns” menu_above=”wtrNoAboveMenuRow” el_class=”” bg_type=”color” color_bg=”#ffffff” img=”” img_attr=”default” color_overlay_opt=”off” color_overlay=”rgba(31,206,109,0.60)” type_video=”local” mp4=”” ogg=”” webm=”” youtube_video=”” vimeo_video=”” sound_video=”off” control_video=”off” mobile_img_poster=”” animate=”none” delay=”0″][vc_column width=”1/1″ type_bg=”transparent” color_bg=”#ffffff” img_bg=”” img_attr=”default” corner=”wtrNoRoundedCornersColumn” el_class=”” animate=”none” delay=”0″][vc_custom_heading text=”3. The high energy, the exciting atmosphere and the bumping music make Zumba an amazing workout! It’s effectiveness is undeniable too. Your arms, legs and even abs get toned in a matter of a few classes. But, you’ll want to keep going. It’s just too much fun!

Ten-hut! Do you have what it takes to be number one in your boot camp class? It takes endurance, perseverance and bucket fulls of sweat!  If you’re super competitive and looking for a challenge, bootcamp is the workout class for you. You’d think it gets easier. But, tough instructors will keep you reaching for greater goals. Hustle!

Maybe you’re a more relaxed soul but, need something more creative. Aerial yoga is an endeering way to increase health and defy gravity; two birds with one stone! Upside down, right side up, you name it. Your body will find itself in positions it has never been in before.

Cycling classes are intense. Don’t assume they’re a bike ride in the park because they’re no where near it! The music will be blasting, the pedals spinning and your whole body sweating. Cycling works your arms too. (You’ll see when you try the class.) It’s also a great option for your weekly cardio.

A full body exercise during which you don’t feel the sweat or pain! Are we in heaven? The benefits of swimming go on forever. You can get competitive with it, or take a float break. Either way, your muscles are always engaged!

Work out, twerk out! Got to get those club moves perfected, if you know what I mean… Okay, it doesn’t have to be twerking, though twerking is super exhausting and strengthening too. Belly dance and pole dance are two sure ways to get your abs and all other body parts toned too!

Nobody is going to mess with you after this one! Whip yourself into amazing shape and learn to defend yourself too. It’s a whole body workout that builds your strength, flexibility and muscles. Plus, it’s a great way to let off a little extra steam!

Like roller skating? Or skate boarding? Or maybe even ice skating? Try all of the above! But… one is still better than the rest. Can you guess which one that is? … Roller skating! You burn over 600 calories per hour. And if you do it backwards, then you burn even more.
