We’ve gathered the best habits of healthy people worldwide, from fitness models to fitness guru’s and celebrities to bring you the most effective and easy to implement health habits.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”grey” align=”align_center” style=”” border_width=”” el_width=””][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row parallax=”none” parallax_image=”” row_type=”boxed” columns_type=”wtrMargin” columns_autohight=”wtrNoAutoHeightColumns” menu_above=”wtrNoAboveMenuRow” el_class=”” bg_type=”color” color_bg=”#ffffff” img=”” img_attr=”default” color_overlay_opt=”off” color_overlay=”rgba(31,206,109,0.60)” type_video=”local” mp4=”” ogg=”” webm=”” youtube_video=”” vimeo_video=”” sound_video=”off” control_video=”off” mobile_img_poster=”” animate=”none” delay=”0″ full_width=””][vc_column width=”2/3″ type_bg=”transparent” color_bg=”#ffffff” img_bg=”” img_attr=”default” corner=”wtrNoRoundedCornersColumn” el_class=”” animate=”none” delay=”0″][vc_single_image image=”9032″ border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” css_animation=”” img_size=”full” style=”vc_box_shadow_border”][vc_custom_heading text=”1. They Drink Plenty of Water ” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left” google_fonts=”font_family:Droid%20Sans%3Aregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text animate=”none” delay=”0″ css_animation=””]Dehydration is an often overlooked issue. Most people find it insignificant but, healthy professionals know the importance of staying hydrated. To name a few benefits: drinking water keeps you looking young, your immune system tip-top and prevents unhealthy cravings.

But, how much water is really enough? Because drinking to much water can be bad too.

Luckily, there’s a personalized formula:

Let’s say somebody weighs 150lbs and they want to know how much water they should consume daily.

How do they find out?

They multiply their weight (150 lbs) by 2/3.

150 x 2/3 = 100

The answer is the total number of ounces (100 ounces) they should be consuming per day to stay hydrated.

It seems like a lot but, it’s all about getting started. A great way to get into the habit of drinking enough water is to start every morning with 8 ounces down the hatch! Not only will it wake your body up, but it will give you a head started on your daily intake![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″ type_bg=”transparent” color_bg=”#ffffff” img_bg=”” img_attr=”default” corner=”wtrNoRoundedCornersColumn” el_class=”” animate=”none” delay=”0″][vc_empty_space height=”700px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row parallax=”none” parallax_image=”” row_type=”boxed” columns_type=”wtrMargin” columns_autohight=”wtrNoAutoHeightColumns” menu_above=”wtrNoAboveMenuRow” el_class=”” bg_type=”color” color_bg=”#ffffff” img=”” img_attr=”default” color_overlay_opt=”off” color_overlay=”rgba(31,206,109,0.60)” type_video=”local” mp4=”” ogg=”” webm=”” youtube_video=”” vimeo_video=”” sound_video=”off” control_video=”off” mobile_img_poster=”” animate=”none” delay=”0″ full_width=””][vc_column width=”1/4″ type_bg=”transparent” color_bg=”#ffffff” img_bg=”” img_attr=”default” corner=”wtrNoRoundedCornersColumn” el_class=”” animate=”none” delay=”0″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″ type_bg=”transparent” color_bg=”#ffffff” img_bg=”” img_attr=”default” corner=”wtrNoRoundedCornersColumn” el_class=”” animate=”none” delay=”0″][vc_single_image image=”9040″ border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_shadow_border”][vc_custom_heading text=”2. Healthy people plan their day, their meals and their time. It increases their productivity and efficiency.

Meal planning, for example, is a great organizational method to keep your diet in check. It goes hand in hand with organizing your time. In the mornings, make sure to ALWAYS have breakfast. This can’t be stressed enough! Breakfast should hold the highest nutritional value for your body in comparison with all other meals. You can learn more about setting up a meal plan in the “Refuel” tab of our Emotional Eating post.[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Quick Meal Planning Explanation” style=”flat” shape=”rounded” color=”blue” size=”md” align=”inline” i_align=”left” i_type=”fontawesome” i_icon_fontawesome=”fa fa-adjust” i_icon_openiconic=”vc-oi vc-oi-dial” i_icon_typicons=”typcn typcn-adjust-brightness” i_icon_entypo=”entypo-icon entypo-icon-note” i_icon_linecons=”vc_li vc_li-heart” button_block=”” add_icon=”” i_icon_pixelicons=”vc_pixel_icon vc_pixel_icon-alert” link=”url:https://matchpoint.nyc/emotional-eating-how-to-stop-it”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row parallax=”none” parallax_image=”” row_type=”boxed” columns_type=”wtrMargin” columns_autohight=”wtrNoAutoHeightColumns” menu_above=”wtrNoAboveMenuRow” el_class=”” bg_type=”color” color_bg=”#ffffff” img=”” img_attr=”default” color_overlay_opt=”off” color_overlay=”rgba(31,206,109,0.60)” type_video=”local” mp4=”” ogg=”” webm=”” youtube_video=”” vimeo_video=”” sound_video=”off” control_video=”off” mobile_img_poster=”” animate=”none” delay=”0″ full_width=””][vc_column width=”2/3″ type_bg=”transparent” color_bg=”#ffffff” img_bg=”” img_attr=”default” corner=”wtrNoRoundedCornersColumn” el_class=”” animate=”none” delay=”0″][vc_single_image image=”9053″ style=”vc_box_shadow_border” border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” css_animation=”” img_size=”full”][vc_custom_heading text=”3. They Sit to Eat” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left” google_fonts=”font_family:Droid%20Sans%3Aregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text animate=”none” delay=”0″ css_animation=””]

Meal planning also includes planning what you’ll be eating throughout the day. Be it a snack or dinner, it’s important to stay aware of what goes into your body. Most health professionals actually prefer to cook their food themselves for this reason.

Unfortunately, busy schedules don’t always permit us this option (or we’re just lazy). But, that doesn’t mean you have to rely on grab and go lunches and fast food. Sit and eat to be more aware of what goes into your body. Try to make sure your plate is 50% fruits and veggies, 25% protein and 25% carbs for a balanced meal.

They Forgive Themselves” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left” google_fonts=”font_family:Droid%20Sans%3Aregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text animate=”none” delay=”0″ css_animation=””]If you slip up once in a while, don’t beat yourself up. Even the healthiest of people have cheat meals. Somethings are just too good to pass up sometimes. And that’s okay! Being healthy isn’t about torturing yourself. Give yourself a break.

A great rule to follow is the 80% Rule: 80% of the time be healthy, maintain your diet, workout and everything else in your routine.

The other 20% of the time, indulge a little. But, don’t let that 20% out weigh all of the benefits of the 80% healthy time. Indulge in moderation!

They Keep Themselves Motivated” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left” google_fonts=”font_family:Droid%20Sans%3Aregular%2C700|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text animate=”none” delay=”0″ css_animation=””]Ever had people tell you “You have to love what you do“? Well, that applies to more than just your job. With the 80% rule and a positive outlook in hand healthy people are motivated to be healthy. They enjoy their lifestyle.

It’s a simple concept that gets overlooked by most people. That’s why, many give up on reaching their health goals.

Fitness professionals set high goals for their trainees.

Follow their methods by setting a high goal for yourself and keep working towards it!

If your goal seems out of reach at the moment, join a health community.

What’s a health community?

A health community is any group of people working together, supporting each other maintain a healthy lifestyle. These communities can be in the form of Instagram pages, blog forums, magazines and websites.

Habit 6 touches on this in further detail.

Joey Swoll is an Instagram celebrity part of the Shredz Team.

Shredz Team, for example, can be considered a fitness community.

It’s participants film workout videos, post pictures and promote health and fitness. They have millions of followers because people seek them out for motivation and to learn from them.

But the members of Shredz Team also support one another which, besides the support of their fans, is their support system.

Support systems are often composed of close friends and family. Jen Selter has great support from her mother! She even started to train alongside her daughter and gained her own following!

The support of your friends and family will make it so much easier to be healthy because you can work as a team to reach your collective goals.

It’s a win-win![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row parallax=”none” parallax_image=”” row_type=”boxed” columns_type=”wtrMargin” columns_autohight=”wtrNoAutoHeightColumns” menu_above=”wtrNoAboveMenuRow” el_class=”” bg_type=”color” color_bg=”#ffffff” img=”” img_attr=”default” color_overlay_opt=”off” color_overlay=”rgba(31,206,109,0.60)” type_video=”local” mp4=”” ogg=”” webm=”” youtube_video=”” vimeo_video=”” sound_video=”off” control_video=”off” mobile_img_poster=”” animate=”none” delay=”0″ full_width=””][vc_column width=”2/3″ type_bg=”transparent” color_bg=”#ffffff” img_bg=”” img_attr=”default” corner=”wtrNoRoundedCornersColumn” el_class=”” animate=”none” delay=”0″][vc_single_image image=”9061″ alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_shadow_border” border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” css_animation=”” img_size=”large”][vc_custom_heading text=”7. They give their mind and their body time to recuperate; time to relax.

How?

Start by fixing your sleep schedule!

Remember habit # 2 – planning? It applies to night time activities as well.

Sleep cycles flow in 4-hr increments. That’s why 8 hours of sleep is the ideal amount for rest. Unfortunately, life has a tendency to move fast. Some of us get 5 hours of sleep a night if we’re lucky!

That’s where scheduling comes in. Arrange your time to ensure at least 6 hours of sleep per night.

If falling asleep is a problem, try to avoid any stressful activities after 9pm to prepare yourself for a good nights rest![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″ type_bg=”transparent” color_bg=”#ffffff” img_bg=”” img_attr=”default” corner=”wtrNoRoundedCornersColumn” el_class=”” animate=”none” delay=”0″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row parallax=”none” parallax_image=”” row_type=”boxed” columns_type=”wtrMargin” columns_autohight=”wtrNoAutoHeightColumns” menu_above=”wtrNoAboveMenuRow” el_class=”” bg_type=”color” color_bg=”#ffffff” img=”” img_attr=”default” color_overlay_opt=”off” color_overlay=”rgba(31,206,109,0.60)” type_video=”local” mp4=”” ogg=”” webm=”” youtube_video=”” vimeo_video=”” sound_video=”off” control_video=”off” mobile_img_poster=”” animate=”none” delay=”0″ full_width=””][vc_column width=”1/1″ type_bg=”transparent” color_bg=”#ffffff” img_bg=”” img_attr=”default” corner=”wtrNoRoundedCornersColumn” el_class=”” animate=”none” delay=”0″][vc_empty_space height=”32px”][vc_column_text animate=”none” delay=”0″ css_animation=””]

These habits are so simple and yet so successful! Apply them to your life and see for yourself!
