Breakfast: When we eat breakfast late or don’t have breakfast at all, we tend pile on the calories later in the day. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! It is the basis for all of your nutritional value. Do not skip it!

Lunch: 4- 5 hours after your breakfast, have lunch. This time frame ensures that you don’t eat too much later on and keeps your metabolism at its peak.

Dinner: We have all been guilty of having late dinners. Work, kids, gym… it’s tough to balance your nutrition with so many responsibilities coming first. But, even then remember that if dinners are late they should be light. If you avoided the breakfast and lunch mistakes, it should be easier to avoid over eating at dinner.

Weekend: Cheat meals are not cheat days! After a week of healthy, letting lose (with regard to food) can be disastrous. Opt for 1 or 2 cheat meals during the weekend rather than a day of junk.

After the Gym: You just burned some calories. That doesn’t mean that you can go and eat them all back! Avoid over eating after the gym by having a snack on your way to your meal.

Lastly, just be a little more mindful and appreciative of your own effort. Don’t let your hard work go to waste.
